Morning Superfood Elixir

by | Jul 18, 2021 | Elixirs, Recipes

Anyone who follows me on social media (Instagram or Facebook)… knows that my morning elixirs are a STAPLE and I don’t go a day without one.

My morning routine starts with a cold rinse on my face, a glass of water with pink salt & lemon, followed by a 30-60 minute workout, shower then ELIXIR TIME (a lot of joy is sparked with this consistent routine if you can’t already tell)

This go-to elixir gives me a boost of energy, some healthy fats, and some protein to keep me going until I have my first meal around 11 am/12 pm.

Maca powder is known for its libido, energy, and mood-boosting potential and is loaded with Vitamin C!

Lions Mane contains components that have been shown to stimulate the growth of brain cells and may help prevent degenerative brain diseases that cause memory loss. Research also shows that Lions Mane may improve nervous system injuries by stimulating and repairing damaged nerve cells, resulting in a quicker recovery time.

Whether you use all of these ingredients at once, or you stick to the basics, you can’t go wrong with taking a few minutes to yourself and sipping on a nice cup of coffee in the morning to begin your workday.

*Noteif you suffer from anxious tendencies, it may be worth trying this elixir without the coffee added and use hot water or warm nut milk instead in order to give your adrenals a little break!*
