Savoury Halloumi Protein Power Bowl

This full of flavour power bowl will leave you satiated for hours into the afternoon with its balanced macronutrient profile.

Full of healthy protein, fat, fibre and carbohydrates, this delicious power bowl is going to give your tastebuds everything they could possibly desire when looking to create a healthy vegetarian meal. 

There’s something so satisfying about creating a beautifully looking and tasting bowl for yourself or for any type of guest for dinner or lunch.

Having good quality fibre at every meal will ensure many benefits to your daily routine and life! First, it will keep you satiated throughout the day, avoiding a spike in your blood sugar which can cause a crash just hours later. Another great reason to have fibre in all of your meals is that it will contribute to regular full bowel movements, which is a direct correlation to a healthy gut, overall!

My favourite types of high fibre foods are:

  • Quinoa
  • Chickpeas
  • Lentils
  • Split peas
  • Avocado
  • Oats
  • Organic popcorn
  • Chia Seeds

Ingredients-1 Servings

  • 1 handful of arugula
  • ¼ cup pitted kalamata olives
  • ½ an avocado
  • ⅓ cup cooked quinoa
  • 5 thin slices of halloumi cheese

  • ½ cup rinsed chickpeas
  • 3 tbsp EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
  • ¼ tsp grass-fed butter
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Step 1: Heat up butter in a frying pan, when melted add halloumi and heat on medium for 3-5 minutes or until slightly brown, flip and repeat and cover with the thyme

Step 2: Add arugula to the bottom of your bowl and cover with EVOO

Step 3: Add all other ingredients to the bowl and enjoy!

Step 5: ENJOY!
